About Me
I am a big outdoorsman, I love being in the country and listening to Country music. I hunt for deer and pheasant mostly and enjoy fishing both seasons. If I'm not breathing in the fresh country air, I'll be working out or playing sports (Golf, volleyball, basketball mostly), playing video games (Call of Duty), or chilling out with friends.
Why I Joined
I was presented with the opportunity to join Sigma Chi early on in my college career. While being introduced to the Fraternity and the chapter's members, I was extremely impressed with the quality of the men involved which is what interested and excited me the most about joining. As I began my pledge process, I became very fond of the ideals, purposes and goals of Sigma Chi and I quickly knew that this Fraternity would be a good fit for me, but I never thought Sigma Chi would have the impact that it did.
How Sigma Chi Has Helped Me
Sigma Chi is an amazing organization. Through its teachings, I have developed and grown as an individual. From the life lessons studied, Sigma Chi motivates me to set lofty goals and intensely strive to achieve them. What is fascinating about Sigma Chi is that not only does it teach great life lessons, Sigma Chi shows you them through the living examples of its brothers. In it, I have sparked life-long friendships that I cherish and I have met extraordinary individuals whom I cannot help but to place as role models and mentors for my life. As an active brother, I have attended workshops sponsored by the Fraternity that have well prepared me for the duties I have chosen to acquire. These duties are found within the many officer positions I have been honored to hold. I find Sigma Chi to be a never-ending gift. As it first gave to me through its lessons learned, I am delighted to give back to Sigma Chi by actively participating and taking on positions. While I'm participating, Sigma Chi is simultaneously giving me more by sharpening my organizational, communication, and detail-oriented skills, which will be highly useful in my career of Accounting. Had it not been for the Sigma Chi Fraternity, my college experience would not have nearly been the same nor would my life, I look forward to continuing my involvement and continually learning from this great organization.
