About Me
I am from Burnsville, MN. Was excited to come to college and eager to join into some type of group. When I met Kevin Hill and Tim Sullivan in the Quad one night and they told me about Sigma Chi Fraternity, my first thought was "I didn't know UST had any Greek life," and in fact, Sigma Chi is it. I was also hesitant because the only thing I knew about fraternity life is what you see on TV, and I wasn't completely into that thing. But they convinced me to give it a chance and said it was nothing like what's in the media; it has been the best decision of my college career.
Why I Joined
I joined because during the first couple weeks of pledgeship, I learned a lot about the values and ideals Sigs emulate and they reverbrated soundly with the ideals that I try to live up to in my own life.
How Sigma Chi Has Helped Me
There are many ways Sigma Chi has helped me. I have held several leadership positions, two of which are ritual positions of Treasurer and Risk Manager. These positions have taught me many leadership skills such as organization and initiative. Not to mention I've stayed brushed up on my basic accounting from being Treasurer. I have used my experiences with Sigma Chi during several interviews, and these experiences give me confidence when approaching others in the business world.
