About Me
Currently, I am a sophomore at the University of St. Thomas. I grew up in the Minneapolis area, decided to go to school at Santa Clara University in California, and then transferred back this year to UST for family reasons. I enjoy playing pond hockey, hanging out with friends, and going boating on the lake in the summer. As a student, I also work for Mail Services during the week and at the Selby Hall front desk on the weekends.
Why I Joined
At Santa Clara I had wanted to join a fraternity for quite some time, but after rushing those that existed, I was not interested. About mid-way through the year, a friend approached me, saying that he was starting a fraternity and wanted me to be a part of it. He wanted to start a Sigma Chi Chapter, and after a little research, I was all for it. Transferring back to UST, I found out Sigma Chi was the only fraternity on-campus, and, without hesitation, continued on my journey as a Sig. It is and always will be the most rewarding club/organization I will ever join. I am honored to wear our emblem.
How Sigma Chi Has Helped Me
First and foremost, Sigma Chi made the transition home easier than I could have ever imagined. With Sigma Chi on my side, making friends wasn't a worry. Not only have I become a better man because of the ideals we uphold, but I have become a much better leader as well. Sigma Chi truly has changed my life; I cannot imagine college without it.
